Minnetonka, MN (January 18, 2011) - The ECRI Institute has awarded Minnetonka-based Emerson Consultants, Inc., a multi-year subcontract to assist them in establishing a national resource for the US Government Department of Health and Human Services to track new medical technologies. The Healthcare Horizon Scanning System is being created specifically for the Department’s Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to establish a process for identifying, tracking, and monitoring new medical devices, drugs, procedures, and health care delivery innovations.
